Design B&B wins Valerie Aurilio, top creative talent from Landor & Fitch

Welcome Val!

General Manager and Executive Creative Director at Landor & Fitch, Valerie Aurilio, joins Design B&B as Managing Partner. She brings with her 20 years of creative leadership partnering with some of the biggest names in CPG and corporate identity. Her wealth of experience ranges from Beauty and Baby Care to Pharma, Finance, and Food.

Whether she’s revitalizing iconic Huggies or branding America’s 250th anniversary, Val has always been driven to find “the big idea” so that she can build brands that matter to people all over the world, everyday. She is passionate about creating ‘with’ clients, not for them. Because an idea created together goes further.

Let’s take a look back at four of Val’s favorite ideas from her time at Landor & Fitch.

The America 250 identity system has been Val’s most challenging creative brief to date. The identity needed to feel relevant for individuals as well as an entire nation. Rather than being a stoic logo, the brand system is a storytelling platform designed to express the American Spirit from a diversity of perspectives.

Huggies Special Delivery work from Landor & Fitch

Huggies Special Delivery brought dads into the conversation and into the aisle. Val and her team at Landor & Fitch wanted to make an emotional connection with today’s parents: “Representing a loving black father connecting with his child resonated on a deeper level than we ever could have imagined.”

Her team’s work with the National Diaper Bank Network helped them to increase awareness, generate more financial support, and even pass legislation to alleviate diaper need in America. The strategic and creative effort positioned  the organization to think bigger, expand their reach, and broaden their mission.

Microsoft Women’s History Month work from Landor & Fitch and Black Ops

For Microsoft Women’s History Month, Landor & Fitch and Black Ops partnered to elevate the stories of women driving for change. The campaign identity feels unexpectedly expressive for the brand, including sets of patterns to accentuate each woman’s story. The campaign resulted in more event attendees, more time spent on the website, and 800% more impressions and page views than the year before.
