Blade Boss originated to bring modernity and ease to the age-old practice of sharpening blades. An industry disrupter, BladeBoss’s mail in sharpening service takes dull, out of commission blades and restores them to their prime. With few competitors in this space, our goal was to create a brand that speaks toward efficiency and honors the craftspeople whom it serves.
Earth tones and classic textures like wool, felt, leather, and rust provide a tactile, grounded quality. Classic American typography is familiar and conveys a sense of craft. “Etched” illustrations and iconography have an artisan feeling and further emphasize the tactile, even in a digital space. The end result is a cohesive system that assures blade users of all kinds that they’ll be back to work in no time.
