With no shortage of healthcare options in the Southern Illinois area, current and potential patients were unaware of the exceptional treatment and physicians available to them through SIU. The goal of the brand refresh was to shift their messaging to speak to advancement of medicine, community connection and SIU’s commitment to progressing healthcare and the quality of life.
Outcome
Bringing the School of Medicine and all of the healthcare practices together under one brand and one name — SIU Medicine — was the first move. Then balancing innovation and forward thinking with humanity and community became the framework for the identity system. The tagline, “Forward. For You.” rhymes with SIU, and pays off the striving, yet personal mission of healthcare.
